“I came to Sarah after I’d been fired because of a burnout. Not really knowing what to do, a friend suggested sessions with Sarah might help. As I’d never had any coaching sessions before, I didn’t really know what to expect other than hopefully some guidance in what to do professionally.

During the first sessions, a lot of time was spent on mindfulness and being more present. As someone who was always thinking about the past, the future, or creating “what if” situations in my head, I found this the hardest part of the sessions. However, Sarah gave me some really good tips and I can now say that my mind doesn’t wander off as much as it used to.

After a couple of weeks, we started to focus on a possible career change. My burnout came from not being happy at work but I hadn’t given a new job much thought. There were a couple of possible jobs I’d been thinking about but Sarah came up with some exercises that gave me a completely new insight on my strengths and abilities. So much that I’ve now signed up for a course in something that would have scared me only a couple of months ago for being way out my league.

Overall, I think that I’m calmer and more focussed now that I have a goal. If it weren’t for Sarah, I’d most likely still be stuck in my old thinking patterns!
